Ushers and Greeters

The Usher and Greeter teams at FBC fill an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The Usher and Greeter teams are a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of FBC. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. If you would like a DVD, please contact the church office with your name and address and we will be glad to get one to you.
Our Media Minister is Jack Wilhelmy.  Jack is a vital part of our services here at FBC Doniphan. .

Missions Ministry

First Baptist Church Missions Ministry serves to support missionaries through prayer, short-term mission trips (such as  evangelistic and  medical teams) and support projects whose main goal is to show the love of Jesus both in word and in action.

Our short-term mission trips are organized primarily as Evangelistic, Children’s and or Medical and work in partnership with RHEMA Ministries and Dr. Ron Herrod.  These teams  travel as volunteers and  conduct street evangelism,  preaching,  puppet ministries,  and  free medical clinics  in the poorest areas in places with little or no access to medical care.
Our Ministry teams  are involved with  community outreaches, jail visits, participating in special programs for children and youth, Backyard Bible Studies and prayer walks.

Our WOM (Women on Missions) is very active as well. This group of ladies consistently prays for people groups all over the world and prays for a day when the Great Commission task will be complete and the Gospel will have reached the whole world.

Each meeting is filled with informative conversation about what is happening on the mission field, a devotion, updates on communications with missionaries and ministries they have been learning about, and great fellowship. Our WOM group also helps lead our church in setting and reaching goals for our annual Annie Armstrong Easter Offering and Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.
Our WOM Leader is Carol Wilhelmy. If you are interested in being a part of Missions, please contact Carol or our Pastor by calling the church office.

Prayer Ministry

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. FBC is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Throughout the week, volunteers are praying for the ministry of the Word and for our Pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs, as well as each ministry. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study. Prayer is a vital part of the ministry at FBC Doniphan.

Children’s Ministry

Our programs and events give children opportunities to develop in many areas of their lives. The apostle Luke recorded in the Bible that during Jesus’ childhood, He grew physically and socially, but most importantly, He grew spiritually. No matter where children are in their process of knowing God, we want to lead them closer to Him in all we do.
Our Children’s Ministry focuses on kids in 1st -5th grade.

If you have any questions regarding our Children’s Ministry, please  call the church office: 996-2910

Student Ministry

We believe teenagers are quite honestly some of the most exciting, passionate, and determined people that walk this earth. Seriously! Have you ever watched teenagers who have come to the reality that Jesus changes lives, that He is worth following, and that He can do something through them that can change the world? Our Student Ministries at FBC  for 6th grade -12th grade is  a great  group of students,  and leaders who are on a journey of falling more in love with Jesus, connecting with each other in relationship, and investing their lives for the advancement of the Gospel. Every student has a story and is at a unique place in their journey.
Every Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm,  our Student Minister, Drew Simmons is preaching a relevant and powerful message to our youth.  Drew, his wife, Brittany and their team of core leaders are on fire for Jesus and want to spread that  passion to our youth.
If you would like more info about the Student Ministry or would like to just talk with our Student Pastor, please call the church office at 996-2910 and ask for Drew. He would be more than glad to speak with you.

Nursing Home Ministry
The Nursing Home ministry is about bringing Jesus Christ to the residents, staff, and family of those in nursing homes. We minister at the local nursing homes by bringing the Word of God through song, word, and prayer. It’s  a great way for you to get involved in the community, and make a difference in the lives of others. As we sing and bring the Word of God, joy fills the place. Jesus Christ brings joy! You may say to yourself, “well, I can’t sing”. Many of the residents would love to have you come and just sit with them or talk to them. We would like to encourage you to come and participate in this ministry. It is an excellent opportunity for you to release what God has planted in you.

Jail Ministry
First Baptist Church has a team of faithful servants who share the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are serving time in jail and to the families of those affected by it. This team will go in to the jail each week on Thursdays to minister to the men and women incarcerated there.  If you feel led to get involved in this ministry, please contact the church office  at 996-2910 for more details.

The Bread Shed Ministry
FBC Doniphan has partnered  with The Bread Shed  to meet the spiritual and physical needs of our community.  Every third Saturday of each month, FBC opens the doors at 7:00 am to provide a warm meal, the Word of God, clothing and groceries to families.  This is a great ministry to get involved in and we  encourage you to volunteer.
